The meeting of Standing Committee on Staff and Financial Regulations, which was attended by APA delegations, was held at Sokha Siem Reap hotel convention center in the morning of 1 December 2016, agreed to put the issue of financial contributions of APA members to support the APA secretariat on table again during the next APA plenary session, which is scheduled to take place in 2017 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting was chaired by the head of delegation from United Arab Emirates, with head of delegation from Russia acting as vice-chair, the head of the delegation from Iraq as rapporteur and the APA secretary general as a moderator.

The chair said during the meeting that in order to strengthen APA secretariat, we need financial contributions from our APA member parliaments aimed at supporting the smooth performance of its secretariat.

The main agenda of the meeting is to consider and give recommendations on the draft resolution on APA Budgetary Planning, which will shortly be summited to the 9th APA plenary session for passage.
